Marking: Place and Displacement

IMG_1619.JPG

Curious why the building across the street from the Pulitzer has been painted gold? As a part of the first phase of A Way, Away (Listen While I Say), St. Louis artists, Ilene Berman and Pacia Anderson led a discussion on the invisible processes of demolition and their effects on community. Participants left their marks on the site through a sign-making activity about the topics of place and displacement and the roles individuals, institutions, and communities play.
